Ringing out the last of the summer sun is Cape Town hailing John Wizards with their newly released and self titled album. Taking obvious influences from their home continental stylings and piecing them together with more far flung sounds, the release mixes and nullifies genre boundaries; effortlessly taking jangly African summer suited vibes and putting a splash of electronic production on them. The release comes courtesy of Planet Mu and perhaps signifies a stroll into the more straight-edged electronic pop sound for the label. The LP was released in the UK on 2nd September.
