A month or so ago Mount Kimbie’s Made To
Stray aired on Ben UFO’s show over at Rinse FM. The track signified a shift towards a
more accessible sound that continued into their most recent release, Blood
and Form which officially dropped today. The controlled vocals of Blood and Form are
set to a regimented beat that builds in a steady crescendo ending with a repeat of the same disconcerting chant. It won't be a surprise to find then, that because of the administrative nature of the track the usual Mount Kimbie warmth is mostly absent and is echoed only in the underlying, sporadic pulse. Their album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth is set for release 27th May.
